A little wedding preview for Sarah and Gavin! We started off at one of my new favorite photo locations of all time – The Bag Lady on the corner of Maitland & Pall Mall in London. From there it was off to Museum London for the ceremony and reception.

Here are a few photos from the amazing day!

Also! Andrew and Emily from http://www.sorliearts.com/ did an amazing same day edit to show Sarah and Gavin later in the evening. Here’s what they came up with! Don’t forget to check out their website

  • catherine - The Bag Lady… what an amazing place for a photoshoot! Love the colours! Its like a “where’s waldo” game 🙂

  • Andrew Sorlie - Taylor – we had such an amazing time with you on Saturday. Thanks so much for everything. Your photography is incredible.

  • Aaron - Pitchfork, Taylor; not rake. Jeeeeeze. Good homage to American Gothic, though! 🙂

  • mel - wow, i want to go visit this place – it’s gorgeous!
funny too, i found one of these images in a google search, clicked on your website and voila – it’s taylor jackson. i am shannon lepere’s current housemate and fellow photographer. i’m waiting until she’s finished so i can read your book 🙂
cheers to you, and hopefully we can connect sometime – i’m moving to toronto in september.

  • Darlene - Yet again…fabulous images Taylor. This particular post caught my attention…as I went on exchange with Sarah 14 years ago and haven’t seen her since! Sarah you look fabulous…congrats to you both!

Here’s a quick preview from Elizabeth and Rob’s wedding last weekend at The Oaks Golf Club in Delaware (Komoka) Ontario. The entire day was amazing, and everyone had a great time! The Oaks Golf and Country Club is a wonderful venue, and everything about the experience there was fantastic.

Here are a few shots from the day!

  • Miriam Khan - Taylor, these shots are simply amazing. And tell the Caketress that the cake is stunning!

Fuscia Designs

I headed down to the Liberty Grand at 25 British Columbia Rd in Toronto to help out on a cake delivery with The Caketress. Delivering a cake is harder than you think. Trust me on that one. Actually, the entire process from concept, to creation, to putting the final details on takes way way longer than anyone expects.

The gold you see on there is 24 carat gold painted on with vanilla vodka.

Fuscia Designs was there putting the final touches on the Centennial Room, and I said I’d snap a few photos of their creations!

Wedding Macaroons Toronto
The French macaroons you see were favors provided by The Caketress that I may or may not have helped package until about 4am the Saturday night before. That was after shooting a wedding, and waking up strangely early to do so. That’s how you get a fresh product.

  • Lisa Fields - Taylor,

What amazing shots you took. I love the soft and little extra (always creative) shots you took. So many times there are those moments that show just how much time and energy it takes to make a perfect day. To honor the work ex. the woman who is decorating the cake, is just another way for the couple to remember those who made it all come together and look so effortless.

You certainly have a Brand going- one Vital ingredient you bring in each an every event you do is your Passion.

Thrilled you found me on Twitter.

    Cheers,
    Lisa Fields, M.S.

Cindy Johnson of Platinum Events has been doing a series of wedding styling, design and inspiration segments on the Rogers network. I caught up with her to snap a few shots of the items local vendors had provided for this segment in particular.

And lastly we have a Pantone Wedding swatch kit. I had no idea this existed! But it’s fantastic. Is it nerdy to like this? Likely.

Before we get started here, I’d like to say that I have taken my new favorite wedding image of all time. I can’t take all the credit though, Chris and Tyler scouted this amazing location years back and it was the first stop on their photo location list.

Vintage wedding in Toronto - Carlu

Ever since I met up with Chris and Tyler for the first time, I’ve been stoked for their wedding.

Random awesome facts about the day:

  • Christina’s mom did the fantastic beading on Chris’ wedding dress.
  • Chris and Tyler are both part of the amazing graphic design and development studio Pilot Interactive
  • Chris found her beautiful parasol umbrella at Raindrops in Toronto – all they sell is rain related merchandise!
  • I love vintage themed weddings.
  • Favorite random quote of the day “You look like the cover of a romantic comedy”
  • They painted little hearts on a brick wall for us to use for photos.
  • It didn’t rain! And then it did. And then it stopped again!
  • The guys picked up breakfast at the Senator in Dundas square. It’s one of those places you drive past, and you think…’that place is either really really good, or really really sketchy’ — it’s good.
  • Louboutin’s made an appearance for the wedding
  • No one was sure how to bustle the dress, so we looked it up on Youtube.
  • We did some photos at a fantastic vintage brick wall, and then headed to Ryerson University for some green shots.
  • They picked the Carlu in Toronto for their venue after they spotted a photo from a 1930s dinner party held there.
  • St Michael’s Cathedral downtown Toronto is GIANT. And you can’t take photos from the balcony, unless you want to pay 8 million dollars (true fact – it needs restored)
  • Black Truffle Mac n Cheese is the best Hors D’Oeuvres I’ve come across to date.
  • I had my buddy Tyler James Bertrand out to second shoot, and he created some amazing photographs.
  • Anemones are the best flower.
  • The DJ blew my mind at several moments throughout the evening. Weddings in general need more MGMT.
  • The entire day was so beautiful, and so much fun. It really was absolutely perfect.
  • Chris and Tyler are currently in the process of spending 5 weeks in Europe. Honeymoon win.
