12 Frames :: 35mm Black and White Film :: Las Vegas, Grand Canyon

In the age of digital, I find it’s way too easy to press the shutter without thinking. I’m guilty of it at times, that’s for sure. It’s almost refreshing to shoot film again. Again…well, actually I’ve only shot about 60 frames of 35mm in my entire life – and here’s 12 of them from my last trip to Las Vegas / Grand Canyon:

35mm BW film Kitchener Ontario

35mm BW film Toronto Airport YYZ

  • Aaron - very nice detail. what camera/lens/film was this?

  • Taylor Jackson - Twas an N90 with a 10-20 Sigma and 400 BW Ilford. Developed/scanned at the Shoppers right beside us 🙂

  • Aaron - love the convenience of that photo lab right there! i wonder how large their scams are before resizing – i’m going to see if they can give me full resolution scans with my next roll.

i didn’t think that shoppers lab processed BW film, though?

  • Taylor Jackson - It’s C41 BW, I don’t think anyone in the area processes straight up BW film anymore.

  • Aaron - ah, touché. that would make sense! i’m pretty sure i have a roll of T-MAX from a couple years ago that i haven’t sent away for processing yet, hah.
